Comunión sin barreras

In ENGLISH (en INGLÉS)

Oh, Lord God Almighty who dwells in unapproachable light, please bestow upon us the blessing of your divine light as it glows through the spiritual songs and hymns in English and Spanish we are singing today in this special, bilingual service. And, as it expands in increasing intensity to encompass all of us in its warmth while we commune together, as one, at the Lord’s table. In the time of preaching, may it pulsate through your servant charged with that ministry, with life-giving rays of truth, hope and salvation for all, filling every mind, heart and spirit in this building of the West Broward church. Every corner, every crevice of our being so that we may all be light for each other and the world about us.

Thank you, dear Father of our spirits, for teaching us, as Paul preached in Athens, that all of us humans are of one blood, and of one species, though with fascinating variations, the which should never become barriers to separate us, cause hurtful frictions, even strife and wars.

We praise your name for this glorious spiritual Kingdom, of which we are privileged to be citizens, where such barriers do not, should not, exist. Help us to expand it.

Kingdom, where there is neither Jew nor Gentile -help today’s Jews to understand this, responding spiritually, and today’s Gentiles to reinforce it.

Where there is neither male nor female, bond nor free. Thank you, dear Lord, for true freedom in Jesus!

Where there is neither black, white, brown, yellow, red or variations thereof. For our souls and spirits have been purified through the blood of Christ -Oh, glory to his Name!- from earthly colors and impurities, so that now, in soul and spirit, we are clear -as crystal clear water, as a clear mirror without smudges, with the clarity of spiritual transparency, being visible in us only those wonderful attributes learned from you and the good works you have taught us to do. Now, we are of one mind and one spirit with you and your precious Son, our Savior, as well as with each other. Glory and honor to you for such a blessing!

If, at any time, we do not live up to these beautiful, sublime teachings, discipline us, that we may quickly correct our words and ways, once again being genuinely respectful one to another, friendly, loving, kind and encouraging.

We humbly ask your consolation and healing for the sick, troubled and bereaved among us.

To these we add your people, our brethren, in the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba, and those in this country, who are struggling to rebuild their lives after devastating hurricanes and fires, many facing months without electricity, scarcity of food and water, unemployment, loss of homes. Use us to help them. Stir us up to not forget them.

Forgive us of any sins in our account. Strengthen us to remain faithful until the end. Your exceedingly great and precious promises are our tremendous motivation. Thank you, thank you, for them. Amen.

En ESPAÑOL (in SPANISH)

¡Oh! Señor Dios Todopoderoso que mora en luz inaccesible, te rogamos que derrames sobre nosotros la bendición de tu luz divina a través de los cánticos espirituales e himnos, tanto en inglés como en español, que estamos entonando hoy en este servicio bilingüe tan especial. También, a la medida en que se expanda esta luz, aumentando en intensidad hasta envolver a todos nosotros con su calor mientras comulguemos juntos, como uno, a la mesa del Señor. En el tiempo de la predicación, sea que pulse tu luz a través del siervo encargado del mensaje, con rayos vivificantes de verdad, esperanza y salvación para todos, llenando cada mente, corazón y espíritu en este edificio de la congregación West Broward. Todo rincón, toda grieta, de nuestro ser, para que seamos todos luz el uno para el otro y el mundo en derredor de nuestro.

Amado Padre de nuestros espíritus, gracias por enseñarnos, como predicó Pablo en Atenas, que todos nosotros los humanos somos de una sola sangre, y de una sola especie, aunque con variaciones fascinantes, las que nunca deben convertirse en barreras que nos separen, que causen fricciones lastimosas, aun contiendas y guerras.

Alabamos tu nombre por el glorioso Reino espiritual y la dicha de integrarlo, donde tales barreras no existen, no deben existir. Qué nos uses para expandirlo.

Reino, donde no hay judíos ni gentiles -qué intervengas en los judíos de hoy para que lo entiendan, respondiendo espiritualmente, y en los gentiles de hoy, qué lo refuercen.

Reino donde no hay varón ni mujer, esclavo ni libre. Gracias, amado Señor, por la verdadera libertad en Jesús.

Donde no hay prieto, blanco, pardo, amarillo o rojo. Porque nuestras almas y espíritus han sido purificados por la sangre de Cristo -¡Oh! ¡Gloria a su Nombre!- de los colores e impurezas terrenales. De manera que ahora, en alma y espíritu, somos transparentes -como el agua cristalina, como el espejo claro, sin manchas, con la claridad de la transparencia espiritual. Visibles en nosotros solo los atributos maravillosos que hemos aprendido de ti y las buenas obras que nos has enseñado a realizar. Ahora, somos de una mente y un espíritu contigo y tu precioso Hijo, nuestro Salvador, al igual que los unos para con los otros. Gloria y honra te tributamos por tan hermosa bendición.

De suceder en algún momento que no vivamos a la altura de estas bellas enseñanzas sublimes, te rogamos nos disciplines para que corrijamos prontamente nuestro hablar y andar, volviendo a ser sinceramente respetuosos los unos para con los otros, amigables, amorosos, bondadosos y prontos para infundir ánimo.

Humildemente, pedimos consolación y sanidad para los enfermos o angustiados entre nosotros.

Y qué nos uses para socorrer a los damnificados por los huracanes, tanto en el Caribe como en este país.

Qué nos perdones todo pecado, fortificándonos de manera tal que mantengamos nuestra fe hasta el fin. Tus grandísimas promesas preciosas nos motivan tremendamente. Gracias, gracias por ellas. Amén.
